We are pleased to announce that we have far exceeded a 3000 plus inventory of specialist industrial access hardware for electrical enclosures, cabinets, electronic racks, control panels, HVAC equipment, lockers/furniture, amusement machines, retail displays, telephone and vehicle security.

Our Panel Fittings range now features locks of many types from quarter-turn through compression locks/latches and combination to pin tumbler, padlocks and rod locks. Standard handle types are catered for, including grab handles, T, L, swinghandles and winghandles. Many items are available in stainless steel 303, 304 or 316, making them suitable for use in chemical, food processing or marine situations where corrosion resistance, coupled to rugged performance are critical factors.

We have been leading specialists in the panel hardware arena for over 30 years and pride ourselves on providing “The Full Package”. As Terry Cantle explained: “We work hard to ensure that we provide real added value – not only with our product, but also by consulting closely with customers in order to provide a proven and reliable single source. Alongside locks and handles the natural complement is a standard range of hinges which in this case provides a huge selection of internal, external, lift-off, piano, weld-on, bolt-on and clip-in types – again with stainless steel variants if required. The innovative D-SNAP technology for tool-less panel joining and hardware fitment parallels traditional technologies with the added potential to save costs and time.

FDB Hinges Available as standard in a wide choice of style, material and finish, we can also provide bespoke solutions to specific requirements. Materials include steel, painted steel, plated steel, zinc-die, re-inforced plastic, brass, stainless steel – we also of course have the SNAPLINE or D-SNAP hinges for fast fitting and cost saving panel assembly.

PHOENIX ARCHITECTURAL and PIANO HINGES

The Phoenix range of architectural hinges now available from ourselves at FDB Panel Fittings offers a varied approach to hinging of pedestrian access doors with a range of safety and security features such as anti-ligature radiuses, hinge leaf cover plates, built-in dog bolts and flush welded hinge pins. Security pinned hinges and concealed wire conductor hinges (for use with electronic entry controls) are further variations on the security theme.

We also see the traditional piano hinge as a popular solution to secure installation of architectural doors, whether in timber or steel, particularly in arduous, high security or vandal-proof applications since when installed hinge pin removal is virtually impossible.

The Phoenix range provides an extensive platform for many bespoke applications such as cranked and odd leaf hinges, special centred or offset leaves, profiled hinges for UPVC and composite frames, as well as storm proof hinges. Twin pin lift-off items and removable pins or journal supported hinges compliment decorative finial and parliament hinges. Several ranges are also available in solid brass or anti-microbial finishes in addition to many traditional special finishes.

Focusing on cabinet and furniture hardware under the “Panel Fittings for Every Enclosure” banner we have recently launched a new range of high quality fittings designed for areas where style and robust use are key to the situation. This would include retail/service environments, corporate offices, high quality equipment and public access facilities such as banks, libraries etc.

Hinging within the range is offered with a series of mild steel and brass butt hinges coupled with decorative and lift-off types. Specialist screen and presentation case designs provide for those infrequent but otherwise standard needs – for more frequent use there is also a selection of piano hinges in sizes from 25mm to 38mm flat widths and in materials of steel, stainless steel, aluminium and brass. The range also covers highly finished pulls and knobs – complimented by inset mounted flush pulls for sliding doors and panels.

Over the years we like to think that we have created a specialist niche in the world of cabinets and enclosures – so that we are pleased to welcome this range of continuous piano hinges ranging from 0.7mm thick for light cabinet use with a range of types up to 5mm thick heavy duty hinges for blast proof doors. Special colours and designs are also available.

These continuous piano hinges are complemented with high performance fittings – butt hinges and lift-off hinges with a range of variants including rising/falling types, electrically wired fire door type and materials such as stainless steel, brass, bronze and aluminium – also for special applications such as glass doors and for security sensitive situations. High performance and highly aesthetic cabinet fittings are part of this new package, including handles in metal, metal/wood knobs, pulls and flush pulls.
