We are pleased to announce that we have far exceeded a 3000 plus inventory of specialist industrial access hardware for electrical enclosures, cabinets, electronic racks, control panels, HVAC equipment, lockers/furniture, amusement machines, retail displays, telephone and vehicle security.

Our Panel Fittings range now features locks of many types from quarter-turn through compression locks/latches and combination to pin tumbler, padlocks and rod locks. Standard handle types are catered for, including grab handles, T, L, swinghandles and winghandles. Many items are available in stainless steel 303, 304 or 316, making them suitable for use in chemical, food processing or marine situations where corrosion resistance, coupled to rugged performance are critical factors.

We have been leading specialists in the panel hardware arena for over 30 years and pride ourselves on providing “The Full Package”. Alongside locks and handles the natural complement is a standard range of hinges which in this case provides a huge selection of internal, external, lift-off, piano, weld-on, bolt-on and clip-in types – again with stainless steel variants if required. The innovative D-SNAP technology for tool-less panel joining and hardware fitment parallels traditional technologies with the added potential to save costs and time.

In the world of enclosure hardware we have always focused on the main areas of enclosure locks, hinges, handles and gaskets - and have recently added mechanical combination locks and digital code entry locks. Our hinge offering has also been supplimented with glass door hinges, decorative and heavy duty hinges - so that now we are confident that in the Panel Fittings world we can offer something for everybody and are one step nearer to our aim of having “panel fittings for every enclosure”!

Heavy duty architectural hinges

Designed for strength and attractive physical appearance the Phoenix range of heavy duty architectural hinges demonstrates a high degree of performance with EN1935 test performance from grades 1 to 14 and with CERTIFIRE approvals. They are suitable for applications such as department stores, schools, bank doors, offices and residential installations. These situations of course include external doors (circa 160kg), fire doors, internal doors and lightweight furniture/cupboards/wardrobes etc.

Variants within the FDB offering include the Loadmaster which is recommended for adjusted door weights up to and beyond 160kg, fitted with or without door closer devices, and annual usage up to 150,000 cycles. Dual bearing hinges – a hybrid five knuckle hinge incorporating two styles of bearing, plain knuckle bearings at the centre, and concealed or shrouded polymer bearings at the outer knuckle load bearing faces. Recommended for adjusted door weights up to 120kg, doors with or without all types of door closer and annual usage up to 200,000 cycles. Particularly suited for metal doorset applications.

The concealed bearing range incorporates a central knuckle on each hinge machined to take a stepped high technology polymer bush, requiring no lubrication and providing both vertical and lateral low friction with extremely low wear characteristics. Slimline hinges incorporate a unique design of solid extra deep turned phosphor bronze thrust washers and a slim knuckle diameter, resulting in a very aesthetically appealing product; they are suitable for 35mm to 54mm thick routinely used domestic, office and commercial doors.

Shrouded bearing types are lubrication free with high performance polymer bearings and smooth stainless steel washers to provide ball bearing levels of performance. Double washered hinges considerably enhance the performance of a plain bearing hinge by use of a pair of freely rotating stainless steel washers between each hinge knuckle. They are recommended for door weights of up to 60kg, with annual usage up to 25,000 cycles without or with only light duty door closer devices.

Plain knuckle hinges are suitable for use on a wide range of applications, including high quality joinery, such as cabinet and cupboard doors, through to internal dwelling doors. They are ideal where low door weight and low frequency of use are applicable.

Over the years we like to think that we have created a specialist niche in the world of cabinets and enclosures – so that we are pleased to welcome this range of continuous piano hinges ranging from 0.7mm thick for light cabinet use with a range of types up to 5mm thick heavy duty hinges for blast proof doors. Special colours and designs are also available.

These continuous piano hinges are complemented with high performance fittings – butt hinges and lift-off hinges with a range of variants including rising/falling types, electrically wired fire door type and materials such as stainless steel, brass, bronze and aluminium – also for special applications such as glass doors and for security sensitive situations. High performance and highly aesthetic cabinet fittings are part of this new package, including handles in metal, metal/wood knobs, pulls and flush pulls.
